## Welcome to Canis Hundeskole branch Stavanger 🐾

Canis Hundeskole branch Stavanger was established in 2011 by Karin Beate Lyng. Since then, we have grown into a small, dedicated team of instructors who share the same passion – creating positive relationships between dogs and handlers through reward-based training and solid professional expertise.

Our instructors are committed to seeing each individual dog and handler, and tailoring training to suit individual needs and goals. That's why we run courses in small groups, ensuring everyone receives good support, guidance and the opportunity to succeed. Our goal is to give our clients effective tools, practical techniques, increased knowledge and above all, training enjoyment.

Professional development is a priority for us. We place great emphasis on keeping our knowledge current, and our instructors regularly attend courses, seminars and lectures both in Norway and internationally to continuously develop their skills.

We use modern, research-based and reward-based training methods, and we have specialised in clicker training. We are proud to be part of Canis Hundeskole – the Nordic's largest dog training school – with a strong professional community and a large network of instructors.

With us you'll find a broad range of courses for dogs of all ages and levels. We offer puppy classes, adolescent dog courses, everyday obedience, activities for the family dog and various dog sports. You'll find both short topic courses, weekly courses, online courses and longer in-depth courses in subjects including search and rescue and clicker training.

If you prefer more individual support, we also offer private sessions where we work one-to-one with everything from everyday obedience and dog sports to various behavioural challenges.

Daily manager Karin Beate Lyng is trained as a behaviour consultant at NMBU and is one of very few certified behaviour consultants in Norway through NAS (Norwegian Behaviour Group for Companion Animals). This gives our clients confidence that they will be met with high professional competence, up-to-date knowledge and extensive experience during behaviour consultations.
