Criteria Plan for Becoming an Advanced Clicker Trainer
Yes, there's a lot to learn as a new clicker trainer. But many have gone before you, and here are the steps you can safely follow based on experience. Enjoy the training and trust the process!

1 - Buy the book "Clicker Training for Your Dog"
2 - Read the book! (it doesn't help to let it sit on your bookshelf)
3 - Get out & train! Try things out on your own, and see how far you get.
4 - Enrol on a course at your nearest Canis Hundeskole branch (or at another good dog school that offers clicker training courses)
5 - Buy the book "Obedience Training in Theory and Practice" (now available in PDF format)
6 - Read the book!
7 - Get out & train! Try things out on your own, and see how far you get.
8 - Enrol on an advanced course at your nearest Canis Hundeskole branch (or at another good dog school that offers clicker training courses)
9 - Read everything you come across about clicker training and learning theory on the internet, and realise that you've become dependent on clicker training (in a good way)
10 - OK, you've been thinking about it for years, and now it's going to happen. You enrol on Canis's online clicker instructor course, and refine your trainer and instructor skills over a whole year!
PS: Add more intermediate "mini-criteria" between each step as needed. Skip directly to a higher step if you've already mastered the previous one. It's important not to spend too long on the same criterion.
