Morten Egtvedt is one of the founders of Canis Hundeskole, established in 1998, and has since served as technical director for the Canis concept.

He is the author of three books: Klikkertrening for din hund introduced clicker training to a broad audience in the Nordic region, whilst Lydighetstrening i teori och praktik and Rundering i teori og praksis are directed towards advanced handlers focusing more on competition training.

Morten's main interests are obedience and working dog training, and he has extensive experience training search and rescue dogs and military service dogs.

For Morten, theory and practice are two sides of the same coin. Dog handlers who truly master dog training understand why something works—not just that it works.

Morten has been committed to building a bridge between behavioural analysis theory and practical dog training. This perspective strongly characterises his books and articles—and especially Canis's well-known Canis klikkerINSTRUKTØRkurs, which over 400 instructors have completed since 2003.
