Free at Foot Course – Online

I've created an online course on the theme of loose-lead walking. And why was it specifically loose-lead walking that became the theme of my first online course?

Fri ved fot kurs – online

Simply because I love the exercise. It's such a joy to walk a free heel and you can just trust that your dog is there, she moves with you no matter what I do. It's so much easier to walk a good free heel when you know that your dog loves it too and won't leave your side no matter what happens. We just flow forward together, we're a team, in our own little bubble that nobody else gets to enter, it's just the two of us that exist there. In addition to the exercise "free heel", the heel also features in many of the other exercises and I use it too in the transitions between exercises, so a good free heel has great significance for the rest of the programme as well.

Course facts:\
You can watch the lessons whenever you want, train when it suits you and submit the videos you want, you get help with exactly what you wish for without being tied to specific times and places.\
From the start on 22 August, all topics will be available straight away, so the course is tailored to everyone.\
The course runs until 22 December, so there's plenty of time to work through all the lessons.

The topics are arranged in prioritised order, the way I would start working with them (although you can work on several tasks at the same time, many overlap and some you work on all the time), but you're free to work with the lessons you want in the order you choose.

This is my prioritised order because I want the dog to gain a good understanding of position and rear-end control/starting position before I begin to move. Side steps to the right are the first thing I start with when I begin because I want the dog to learn early that it's their responsibility to stay with me, I don't want to either nag at them to get them with me or move myself after them.\
But even though chaining and competition training are at the bottom of the list, that doesn't mean it's the last thing I do, it's worked on all the way through in parallel, and that's the case with many of the topics.

The lessons are published as text, images and film. Here you'll see my three dogs, and it will also be supplemented with videos as we go so you can see how I work to maintain a good free heel, tidy up a sloppy heel and training with a puppy.

As a participant on the online course you get access to lessons, can submit videos and receive feedback.\
As an observer on the online course you also get access to the lessons, and can ask unlimited questions about the lessons, but won't receive feedback on questions about your own training as it's difficult to answer on something you haven't seen.

The course is aimed at those who want to begin training free heel, want to improve details with a dog that has already trained free heel to some extent, or are already competing and want feedback on their training. Puppy or adult dog makes no difference, the feedback is individual and we work at your level.\
We focus on details, build together shorter sequences and work at putting all the elements together into a complete exercise.
