Puppy class at Skedsmokorset, Thursdays from 22 October (indoors in a heated venue)

Puppies of all breeds and mixes aged between 9 weeks and 5 months at course start are welcome.

We train exclusively using reward-based methods.

INFO:

• Maximum 6 puppies on the course to ensure good and personal follow-up – with us you will feel seen, heard and looked after.
• After each course session we send a tailored summary/homework via email so you always have an overview of what we've trained 🙂
• We work in short sessions with many small breaks, so all the little ones keep up the whole way through. Learning to be calm around other dogs and people is also important.
• We use a method called clicker training on all our courses. Clicker training is a reward-based, effective and fun training method! There is no requirement to use the clicker itself, but we of course encourage everyone to give it a try.
• The whole family is welcome on the course!

TIME

The course runs over 1 theory evening + 6 Thursdays with practical training.\
The first session is a theory evening (without your puppy) on Thursday 22nd October in our heated facilities at 17.45–19.15. The remaining 6 Thursday evenings are practical training at 17.50–18.50. Two of the Thursdays between start and the Christmas break will be course breaks – these will be in week 46 (12th November) and week 48 (26th November). The final course session is 17th December.

LOCATION

The course takes place indoors in our heated facilities at Brånåsen on Skedsmokorset.

How to use treats as an effective reward for desired behaviour – not all dogs love food, so here it's about having some good techniques!

Getting your puppy to give up things it has found

Training a stop cue, taught using reward-based methods and without the use of punishment

Being calm around other dogs and people
