This annual course is developed for you who already have a solid foundation in search and rescue and want to deepen your knowledge further in advanced search work, scent theory and the development of your dog as a search and rescue asset.
Through six intensive and educational weekends, we will work purposefully to further develop both your dog's skills and your abilities as a handler. The course combines theory, practical training and individual follow-up to help each team progress at their own level.
🔍 What can you expect?
On Level 2, we go even deeper into search work and build on the skills from Level 1. We work with further development of searches, increased understanding of the olfactory sense and more advanced techniques within search and rescue.
You will learn how to:
✔️ Further develop your dog's search skills
✔️ Work more systematically and operationally
✔️ Read your dog even better during search
✔️ Handle challenges and distractions
✔️ Build endurance, independence and accuracy
✔️ Develop searches towards a higher level
✔️ Adapt training to your dog's strengths and challenges
The instruction is tailored to each individual team so that you get the most out of your training – regardless of what your goals are within search sport or operational search work.
🚨 Operational final task
The course concludes with an exciting and realistic operational search task!
Here you will work together as a team and solve a fictional operational mission that puts your skills to the test. Along the way, you will face various challenges that require teamwork, strategy and quality search work.
This is an incredibly educational and motivating conclusion to the year – and a fantastic opportunity to test yourselves as an operational search and rescue team.
🔥 Who is this course for?
The course is perfect for you who love search work and want to learn more, develop further and gain new inspiration for your training. Whether you are training towards search sport, operational work or want even better understanding of search and rescue, this course will give you valuable tools and plenty of motivation to move forward.
