Would you like to get started with this important exercise, or are you already working on it but keen to improve? Join the course then! 💪
This course is designed for those who want to take part in a dog sport where it's important that your dog can walk beautifully on lead and off-lead at heel, such as rally obedience, competition obedience (LP), creative obedience or working obedience.

This is NOT a "walk nicely on lead" course! Here we geek out and fine-tune for competition use 😄🤓😎

INSTRUCTOR
Marianne Mjelva
We use a method called "clicker training" on all our courses. Clicker training is a reward-based, effective and fun training method 🙂 You can choose for yourself whether you use the clicker itself or not.
We will cover these topics (depending on what each participant needs to work on):
– Rewards and reward markers
– Full focus even when the handler has no reward in hand
– Focus in front
– Rear end control / heel position / starting position, possibly on both sides
– Backwards walk with focus on handler every single step
– Turns
– Stays
– Backing up
– Gaits
– Focus from the first step
– Correct position and entries
– Maintaining focus regardless of distractions
– Handler's footwork and movement
