On this course you'll learn to train foundation skills that you'll benefit greatly from in obedience, rally obedience and other dog sports — or if you simply want to learn clicker training and have a brilliant time together with your dog 😊. Foundation skills are building blocks that you can later combine and teach your dog almost anything!
Examples of foundation skills we'll work with on the course are heelwork, attention, backing up and position changes such as stand from sit and sit from down.
The course runs over 6 evenings from 18:30 to 20:30 at 4Poter's course venue on Haslum. With a maximum of 5 participants on the course, there's plenty of time for individual follow-up, and we tailor the practical training to each handler-dog team's starting point and challenges. We train in short sessions with one dog at a time, so the course is also well suited for dogs that find it challenging to be too close to other dogs.
