COURSE CONTENT

On this course, there is space for participants to work on the foundational skills that are most relevant to their goal, whether that is competitive obedience (LP), working dog obedience, rally obedience, hunting, purely for fun, or something entirely different.

Course focus areas:

– Further development of foundational skills already begun.
– Learning new variations of different foundational skills.
– Quality assurance of behaviours.
– Generalisation.
– Flow.
– Beginning to combine foundational skills into exercises from various dog sports.
– Stimulus control – achieving reliable cues/commands on foundational skills!

Developing your handler skills is an important goal of this course.

The aim of this course is for you and your dog to have acquired several foundational skills at flow level, and to have established cues on several of them, so that you can now begin to combine foundational skills into simple chains. Upon completion of the course, you should be very well prepared to progress to courses in, for example, competitive obedience (LP/obedience), working dog sport, rally obedience, hunting or whatever else you wish to pursue.
