Find your dog sport!6 spots left

Would you like to try dog sport, but are unsure what suits you and your dog?

There are incredibly many fun ways to train your dog – but which dog sport really is the best fit for you and your dog?

On this course, you and your dog will get to know three exciting dog sports: rally obedience, obedience and nose work. We combine theory and practical exercises, so you don't just hear about the sports – you actually get to try them together with your dog! 🐾

Maybe you'll discover that your dog loves working with precision and concentration? Or that it really thrives when it gets to use its nose? Maybe it's the combination of movement, teamwork and fun exercises that gets you both smiling?

The goal is not for you to become an expert in three different dog sports. The goal is to give you a taste of different training methods, so you can work out what you both enjoy – and perhaps find your new favourite activity! ❤️

🐾 Three dog sports – three completely different ways to work

Rally obedience 🏃‍♀️🐕

Here we combine obedience, teamwork and movement through a fun course with different signs and tasks. You'll get to try what it's like to follow a course, solve different tasks together with your dog and at the same time maintain focus on flow and teamwork.

Obedience 🎯🐕

In obedience we work with precision, teamwork and solid foundation skills. We try out some of the exercises and look at how you can build skills in a fun and reward-based way.

Nose work 👃🐕

In nose work your dog gets to use its fantastic sense of smell. We introduce search work and let the dogs try simple search tasks. Here you get to experience how fascinating it is to see your dog use its nose, work independently and solve tasks.

🎯 On the course we focus on:

  • Introduction to rally obedience, obedience and nose work
  • Practical trying of the different dog sports
  • What characterises the different sports
  • How we can build solid foundation skills
  • Reward-based training and how we motivate the dog
  • Teamwork and communication between dog and handler
  • How to read your dog and see what it enjoys
  • Different ways to use the dog's natural abilities in training
  • How to make training fun and motivating
  • How to get started with a dog sport
  • What it takes if you want to develop further towards competition
  • Finding activities that suit both your dog's and your own interests and abilities

📚 How the course is structured

The course combines theory, practical training and lots of activity together with your dog.

💻 Theory and introduction

We go through the different dog sports and look at what characterises them, what skills they require and how you can get started.

🐕 Practical training

You'll get to try exercises from all three dog sports. We structure the training so that both beginners and dogs with some training experience can be challenged at their own level.

🎯 Focus on foundation skills

Good foundation skills are useful regardless of which dog sport you choose. We therefore look at how skills such as contact, reward, position, self-control and teamwork can be used across the different sports.

👀 Learn to read your dog

An important part of the course is observing your dog. What does it find fun? What motivates it? Where does it thrive best – with precision and teamwork, with movement and variety or with problem-solving and search work?

📖 Course compendium

You get access to relevant course material that makes it easier to continue your training after the course.

🎥 Web-based lessons and instructional videos

You get access to short lessons and instructional videos that support the topics we work with on the course.

👥 Own Facebook group

In the group you can ask questions to the instructor, get follow-up along the way and share experiences and progress with the other course participants if you wish.

🏠 Homework and fun challenges

Between the sessions you'll get concrete tasks and small challenges you can try at home. That way you get to test the different training methods a bit extra – and maybe you'll start discovering a favourite!
