We will be working with fundamental skills needed for this exercise, using the Canis clicker method.

On the course we will focus on the cornerstones of this exercise:

systematic search – learning blank finds - searching into the wind – indication with collar grab or retrieve – off-lead obedience - competition setup.

The course is suitable for both beginners and for developing the exercise further. However, you must have general knowledge of clicker training, and your dog must be able to run to a helper/decoy, enjoy playing or receiving food from them, and be at least 6 months old.

The training will be tailored to each individual dog based on their level.

IMPORTANT: Participants help each other as helpers/decoys and it is therefore essential that you are able to move about in terrain. There will also be plenty of opportunity to walk alongside during others' runs and take home input from their work.

Before the course, I will send you a schedule showing when your dog is to run and when you should help out in the field, as well as any help needed in preparing for the next dog. This way we can keep the day running smoothly and make the most of our time.

The course includes coffee and cake at the end of both days.

You must bring your own lunch!

Minimum 6 – maximum 8 participants with dog, plus 2 observers (who will also lend a hand during training)

It would be very helpful if you are familiar with the book "Rundering i teori og praksis", published by Canis.

We will train in the same area both days.

Meeting point: To be announced later

We use new terrain both days.

Meeting time 08.00 – with practical information and then a walk-through of the area.

Expected finish time is around 16.30–17.00

In September you will receive an email with further course information and an invoice, payable by bank transfer.
