Search and rescue course, with focus on whatever you wish to train if you have a young dog or an experienced competition dog with challenges (this is not a puppy class). We work with the things that are important for search and rescue to function — deep runs in system, running empty finds, locating and indicating persons and objects, obedience in the middle, to mention just a few. We work with clicker training and its fundamental principles regarding timing, criteria, reinforcement quality, and we use voluntary behaviour and chaining of, for example, indicating to decoys. You are an important part of the course, as all participants must be involved in training the dogs as handlers/decoys. Participation requires that your dog is a minimum of 6 months old and can run to persons and engage with reward via either food or toy.

Enrolment:

From 1 October 2026 you can enrol by sending an email to [ulla@canis.dk](mailto:ulla@canis.dk) where you tell us which course days you wish to attend.
