I'm an instructor in nose work and everyday obedience at Skills Hundetrening in Telemark. I hold a bachelor's degree in livestock farming, and have broad work experience from kennels and the pet shop industry. I completed my nose work instructor training in 2020, and since then I've run courses for both beginners and advanced handlers, and judged title tests.
My teaching is built on clicker training principles. I emphasise that students understand why they do what they do — not just how. That creates motivation that lasts beyond the course itself, whether the handler is completely new or already has some experience.
My clicker journey started with my first dog, Aron (Drever male, born 2014). We completed clicker trainer levels I and II, and then the clicker instructor training in 2018–2019. Aron became a game scent champion, fully certified in the show ring, qualified in hunting, and earned three titles in nose work.
I have two dogs today: Skills (Stabijhoun male, born 2016) and Ace (Drever male, born 2025). Together with my dogs, I train primarily nose work, blood tracking and everyday obedience.
Skills is qualified in blood tracking, show champion with several winning titles, and holds all nose work titles in class 1, plus two titles in class 2. Ace, who is 12 months old at the time of writing, has already earned three nose work class 1 titles from four starts, has two first prizes in blood tracking tests, and 10 points in game scent tests. We are certified for search and rescue on wounded game.
