I am 32 years old and based in Bamble. I hold a bachelor's degree in Livestock Science, Welfare and Production from HiNT (now Nord University), and after my studies worked as a kennel manager at a dog and cat boarding facility until we moved to Telemark in 2019. Today I work as a shop manager in a pet store. I trained as a nose work instructor in 2020.
I currently have two dogs: Aron (Drever male, born 2014) and Skills (Stabyhoun male, born 2016). Together with my dogs I train nose work, blood tracking, strength, balance and coordination, and some obedience. Aron is a game tracking champion, holds three show certificates, is field-titled and has titles in nose work. Skills is blood tracking-titled, a show champion and holds titles in nose work.
When Aron first came home, we were at the dog club a couple of times a week, training some obedience and search work. He didn't find obedience training particularly fun, so we stopped doing that. Skills was purchased to have another dog to train more intensively with, but for various reasons it hasn't worked out that way. Since we were already enrolled in the clicker training instructor course with Canis, Aron had to go back to training with me — and this time he found it fun! Clicker training is an absolutely fantastic way for dogs to learn, and you have so much fun doing it!
