I offer various types of courses and private instruction for training dogs and handlers.

Canis Hundeskole branch Østfold is well established with indoor training facilities and outdoor grounds featuring a partially fenced training area and woodland terrain for course activities. In some of the courses, we need to move around to achieve the training objectives. In each case, I provide information about this in the course description.

The courses I offer are held in small groups for optimal results. Training takes place mainly outdoors.

I'm not only interested in how human behaviour affects the dog, but also how the dog's behaviour affects the owner – for better or worse. The interaction between your dog and you is an important factor to be aware of so that your cooperation works well in everyday life. That's why I work exclusively with reward-based training methods, which are based on current research in dog training. I believe that dog training should be a positive experience for both you and your dog!

Over the years, I've led many courses on behalf of NKK for several dog clubs. I'm a former member of Norske Redningshunder and have had a certified search and rescue dog, as well as serving as district leader for Østfold and Follo. As a handler in NRH, I also had training responsibility and follow-up of new teams.

I'm an active dog owner who is constantly seeking new knowledge. Although I'm a competent dog trainer and instructor, I've always prioritised attending courses to learn new skills and receive feedback on the work I do with my dogs. In addition, there's much to learn by observing other dogs at work.

Through my course activities, I have knowledge of and experience with many dog breeds. I've owned poodles, German Shepherds and several Rottweilers before I "converted" to a new breed. Today I live with my husband Tom and our hunting Labradors Carlsberg, Jägermeister and Vincent.
