My name is Ian and I'm a training enthusiast, dog sports competitor and instructor certified in DCH and Canis clicker training. I've helped many dog owners get off to a great start with training their puppies and young dogs.
Regardless of which dog I'm training, what matters most to me is that the dog is motivated and happy. When training puppies and young dogs, the primary focus is on the dog maintaining contact with their handler.
Training for puppies and young dogs takes place in small groups in a safe environment, so there will be plenty of time for everyone, whilst the dogs can be socialised.
Is there something in everyday life that can be particularly challenging — for example, walking nicely on lead, the dog jumping up, etc.? I'm happy to offer individual training so you can move forward successfully.
With a background in DCH competition programmes, my interest lies in the larger exercises such as heel work off lead, field work, heelwork and tracking, but I'm also happy to help with the other exercises. Training can take place individually or in small groups.
My approach to training is often simple and straightforward. It's based on positive methods and plenty of success for the dog.
